Donna Mahan’s art evolves from “found treasures” that many people might discard. She is inspired by the beauty of distressed wood, rustic metals, weathered shells, pottery shards, rocks and textiles. She takes these objects and encircles them with vibrant colored glass from various sources.
Together the elements create an assemblage of complimentary natural objects rich in texture, color and form. The end result is a dynamic Donna Mahan and whimsical interplay of illuminated objects brought together to portray an exciting and mysterious story. Donna lives and creates in North Truro, Massachusetts.
